It is not uncommon for a child to express a preference to live with one parent over the other, especially in the midst of a divorce or separation. This preference may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as the child's relationship with each parent, their living arrangements, and their individual needs and desires. However, it is important for parents and caregivers to consider the child's best interests and to work together to create a supportive and nurturing environment for the child, regardless of their expressed preference. It is also important for the child to have the opportunity to express their feelings and concerns in a safe and supportive environment. **

It depends on the individual circumstances and the nature of the relationship between the parent and the ex. In some cases, a parent may choose to maintain a friendly relationship with their child's ex-partner in order to support their child's well-being and maintain a positive co-parenting relationship. However, in other cases, a parent may choose to distance themselves from the ex in order to avoid potential conflicts or discomfort. Ultimately, the decision to be friends with the ex is a personal one and should be made based on what is best for all parties involved. **

In the book series "A Series of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicket, a parent spoiler is a term used to describe a plot device in which the parents of the main characters are killed off early in the story. This is a common trope in children's literature, and it serves to create a sense of vulnerability and independence for the young protagonists as they navigate the challenges and dangers they encounter. The absence of parental figures also adds to the overall atmosphere of gloom and despair in the series. **
